Don't Let it rain on your parade

On this wet and windy day, don't let the weather dictate your fashion choices, instead have fun with these stylish umbrellas. Here at CarrieMe HQ we like to stand out on our commute home.

Timeless and Chic
We can't resist this Lulu Guinness' iconic Big Ben and Tower Bridge design - it will definitely make you stand out from the crowd.... and as you know at CarrieMe we're just mad about London.

Technological Design
For those looking for a more techy design, try the Senz Original which withstands winds of up to 70 mph - just the thing for London today, so I don't have to worry about my umbrella turning inside out and breaking.... plus the added bonus, its available in lots of colours including our favourite brand colour purple!

Arty and different
Having met the 2 designers of this product, I think its fab idea for those wanting to be a bit arty and different. Try Squid London's London Skyline Squidarella, which has some nifty ink technology which activates colour on contact with water, so put a smile on everyone's face as they watch it change.

Now that you're dry, you can turn your thoughts to the next stage - what do you do with your wet umbrella once you're on the tube or bus or need both hands for things like shopping?  I mean you don't really want to just stuff your wet umbrella into your bag and get everything wet - purse, mobile, makeup and all the other treasures we absolutely need on a daily basis.

So at CarrieMe, we decided to create the CarrieMore Clip just so that you could attach your umbrella to the outside of your bag, keeping both hands free and most importantly, everything else dry!  Go on give it a try!

Bring on the faux fur!

English supermodel Erin O'Connor, made her catwalk return this week at Jean-Paul Gaultier's Couture show in Paris. Dressed in theatrical furs and outlandish feathered hats, she stole the runway with her edgy look.

Texture, fashion trends and colours are our inspiration, with this fur/faux fur trend mix getting the CarrieMe design team excited - we're working it into our newest designs - can't say more at the moment as its hush hush, but all will be unveiled in the Autumn, so stay tuned....

Introducing CarrieMe

I’m so excited to be starting this blog and look forward to sharing with you my inspirations for design, as well as fashion and business tips and lots more.  I also hope you’ll share your thoughts about the world of design, what inspires you and of course your favourite handbag and accessories!

To introduce you to CarrieMe (http://www.carrieme.co.uk/), I would like to tell you a bit about me, my influences and my story. Besides experiencing lots of hard work, laughter and excitement, there are several other things that have helped me to build CarrieMe and first of all is my love of travelling.

An explorer at heart, I have lived from a young age all over the globe in India, Sri Lanka, Morocco and Europe, as well as travelled extensively around Asia and South America….
This has fuelled my love of colours and cultures which I want to share with you through my accessories line.

Being a Londoner at heart has also influenced the CarrieMe brand... as one of the fashion hubs of the world and I am very privileged to call it home. I love it that I can just walk down certain streets to see the latest fashion trends on ‘real’ models, whether it be Portobello Market (near the office), Soho, Oxford St or Bond St.
They say that the city of London never sleeps and neither does fashion or style, so naturally, some of the most stylish trends are born here. The translation of fashion from the catwalk to high street takes about 9 weeks so we’re much more trend-savvy, which is another thing I love and can’t wait to share with you through the CarrieMe brand.

Well, I hope you guys agree and would love to hear your comments.
Its been nice getting this on paper, online, well you know what I mean. I hope you’re enjoying it and I can’t wait to share more.

Love Carrie xx
