Blue Sky thinking for Spring 2013

Yes its that time already... thinking new colours for 2013!

One thing that I always find difficult as a designer is to be thinking about fashion trends 12-18 months ahead of where we are.

So already I'm scouring ideas for new colourways for Spring next year, even though it feels like we're hardly out of the woods of Spring this year - especially since June is turning out to be a very wet month here in London, summer definitely has not yet arrived!

So which are your favourite colours - which would you like to see added to the CarrieMe Collection next spring?

Its gorgeous out there!  We say its time for colour - say bye bye to Winter, and hello to Spring!! 

Metallics such as gold and silver; warm tones such as mustard yellow, camel and tan brown; and bright colours such as indigo blue and emerald green are trending in the high street shop windows right now... making fabulous accessories. 

This contrasting colour blocking inspired by the 1960's style, caught our eye - mixing and matching bright colours and using the current geometric shapes' trend to give a more sophisticated look... and perfectly matching Rakhee Bhatt's nails!

Also don't know about you, but the size of my bag seems to be ever increasing - obviously I need absolutely everything in there you understand, but now can I find anything? No! Bring on the faux fur!

English supermodel Erin O'Connor, made her catwalk return this week at Jean-Paul Gaultier's Couture show in Paris. Dressed in theatrical furs and outlandish feathered hats, she stole the runway with her edgy look.

Texture, fashion trends and colours are our inspiration, with this fur/faux fur trend mix getting the CarrieMe design team excited - we're working it into our newest designs - can't say more at the moment as its hush hush, but all will be unveiled in the Autumn, so stay tuned....
