CarrieMe gives a glamorous touch to spring handbags!!

Its gorgeous out there!  We say its time for colour - say bye bye to Winter, and hello to Spring!!

Metallics such as gold and silver; warm tones such as mustard yellow, camel and tan brown; and bright colours such as indigo blue and emerald green are trending in the high street shop windows right now... making fabulous accessories.

This contrasting colour blocking inspired by the 1960's style, caught our eye - mixing and matching bright colours and using the current geometric shapes' trend to give a more sophisticated look... and perfectly matching Rakhee Bhatt's nails!

Our favourite though is this brightly coloured bag and with gold trimmings, elegantly modelled by Laura Berenguer!.

So here is where the Classic Heart Mobile Finder does its magic with my mobile, shown with the Amber Gold which is right on trend!

Retro is back in style and I can get all girly too!

I love to use fashion to voice how I'm feeling, expressing my inner emotions so I'm loving the Retro and Girly look, which bring out the nostalgic, sophisticated, pretty, hopeful me.

Curiously, these looks seen on the New York and Paris recent fashion week catwalks merged together neutral colours as well as bold brights, so there's plenty of scope to express our different moods.  I liked  Louis Vuitton's fresh approach:

Retro is defined as inspirational cool, nostalgia presented in a sophisticated and elegant manner with a rhythmic, jazzy feel to it and Manish Arora has definitely got it with his funky retro look of bold, pop colours -  introducing different textures to make a statement

My favourite though was Rodnik, with the use of his vibrant funky colours - I'm definitely saving up for his red bus bag!

Exciting - Join the Colour Blocking Trend!!!

Colour blocking looks like its here to stay - it was big last year and this year this vibrant look includes both neutral and muted colours as well as the bright ones we saw last year.

One of two designer who certainly caught attention is Phillp Lim, with the use of his refreshing sorbet colours, here are some examples from his recent new York fashion show...

Square-headed dreamers

Stripes and dots are so last year… IN go checks and geometric shapes which took centre stage at the recent Autumn Winter 2012 Fashion Weeks.

There is something distinctively British in the trending square patterns. Timeless Burberry check coats, tooth check jackets, tartan patterns, heritage tweeds and check shirts are bringing a tinge of dreamy nostalgia to the smart and stylish, working woman's wardrobe.

From Caroline Charles' warm countryside greens and Daks' coffee-coloured palette, to Roksanda Ilincic's splashes of bright blue and Chloé's stern black upon whites… watch out for geometric shapes coupled with furs and leather accessories are dominating Autumn-Winter 2012.

Which is your style?

Are you ready for animal prints?

Animal prints have come roaring back into fashion and are no longer the exclusive realm of the extrovert.  This Autumn they turned mainstream exuding a fierce, self-confident woman - appearing everywhere on the catwalks of Paris, Milan, London and New York – and on everything from dresses and shirts to accessories such as handbags and shoes.

Zebra, snake, jaguar and leopard prints were the most popular with designers
such as Barbara Bui, Carolina Charles or Chloé, who used different textures and colours to add glamour and originality.

Go on, admit that now you have seen these dresses, shirts and even accessories that you want them too!  Which ones will you be wearing?

Autumn is Golden

Gold is the new colour for Autumn Winter 2012, as fashion designers decide to bring out the inner goddess in every woman.

Romantic folkloric designs, Russian-Imperialist accents, furs, leathers and metallics, were all presented with a golden sheen to add splendour and glamour to our lives.

Designer Antonio Marras' introduced fur and floral patterns with a rich golden colour during Milan Fashion Week, while Daks made their outwear in metallic gold.

Luisa Beccaria showed romantic golds intended for “a real woman, who works but can still dream”, while Temperley London presented a stunning collection with a mixture of dreamy Russian-imperialist ushanka hats and trendy London looks.

Matthew Williamson brought out some strong metallics, accenting with gold in a bohemian, easy to wear style whilst Mary Katrantzou wowed us with her extravagant collection in with rich golden prints.  Which is your favourite?
